iciHaiti - Education : Surprise visit of Nesmy Manigat in schools
On the occasion of the International Day of the Rights of the Child yesterday Friday, several schools of Port-au-Prince received a surprise visit from the holder of the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP), Nesmy Manigat.

The Lycée du Cent cinquantenaire, commonly called Lycée des Jeunes filles (Capois street), and the École fondamentale Al’Islam (bois-Verna) are among the schools visited by Nesmy Manigat who was accompanied by his chief of staff, Charles Levelt Joseph, of the departmental director of West (DDO), Louis Fritz Dorminvil, of the Inspector General of MENFP, Jackson Pléteau and of Director of Communications of MENFP, Miloody Vincent.

A warm welcome was extended to the delegation of the Ministry particularly by students of the New Secondary I, II, III and IV, but also that of the fundamental who could exchange with the Minister on the subjects taught at the time of the visit. Teaching tips, educational notions of citizenship and moral values, encouragement to academic success, were the focus of discussion with students who proudly expressed their desire to succeed in their studies. One of the strong moments of the visit was the song recital performed by students of the secondary 1 in music course with the accompaniment of the Minister Manigat.

The Minister promised to come back shortly to see the progress in the educational path of these young during the year, the Minister seems clearly appreciated the maturity and sense of hospitality among students.
