Tuesday, following a mechanical failure, a helicopter registered N355RH kind Eurocopter AS350BA Écureuil, crashed in a mountainous area of Las Charcas de Agua in Dominican Republic

The helicopter, used by the Haitian company "Colibri Haiti S.A." and property of "Colibri Aircraft Leasing Inc." came from Port-au-Prince and was in direction of Santo Domingo.

Colonel Emmanuel Souffront, Investigation Officer of Aerial Accidents of the "Junta de Aviación Civil" of the Dominican Republic, said that the three occupants of the aircraft are safe and sound out of the accident and were taken to a hospital for medical checks.

The official did not give the names of the occupants, but confirmed only that the pilot was Dominican.
