Monday, November 30 at the School of Magistrates (EMA), a panel discussion on "Prolonged Preventive Detention - Challenges and Solutions" will be organized by the Embassy of Canada in Haiti in partnership with the EMA.

The conference aims to bring together around the same table the actors concerned by this issue to find a consensual way to activate the judgments necessary to deal with overcrowding and thereby meet the legal and moral requirements of the parties involved .

Will take part in this activity among others : Pierre Richard Casimir, the Minister of Justice and Public Security, the newly elected Senator of the Republic, Jean Renel Sénatus, the deputy Government Commissioner to the Court of Appeal of Port-au-Prince, Mr. Kébreau Zamor, as well as other stakeholders related to this theme.
