These deterrents shots of the Haitian police, caused panic in the population and caused great confusion on the shores of the Massacre River, which separates Ouanaminthe and Dajabón.
The goods from the Dominican Republic affected by the ban, have been seized by agents of the Haitian customs, causing outrage and anger of entrepreneurs and traders from Haiti.
