iciHaiti - Music : The Jazz singer Cécile McLorin Salvant nominated for Grammy Awards

The American Jazz singer Cécile McLorin Salvant born August 28, 1989 in Florida daughter of McLorin Salvant, a doctor of Haitian origin and a mother teacher Guadeloupean, founder and director of a small Anglo-French school in Miami; winner of first prize in the International Competition for Jazz Voice "Thelonious Monk" in 2010, has been nominated in the category "Best Jazz Vocal Album" in the 58th edition of the Grammy Awards in the US to be held February 15, 2016, at Staples Center in Los Angeles and retransmitted live on CBS.

Her latest album jazz "For One To Love", produced under the Mack Avenue Records, released September 4, 2015, was hailed by international critics. Recall that Cécile McLorin Salvant had already sung in Haiti for the Jazz Festival of Port-au-Prince.
