Thursday, Max Rudolph Saint-Albin, the Director General of the Office of Accident Insurance of Labour, Sickness and Maternity (OFATMA) announced that the informal sector in Artibonite will be integrated into the State social security programs, stressing that this insurance at affordable price, will allow beneficiaries to have a health insurance card and ensure inter alia the protection of their lives and their property.

It will cost 1,000 gourdes a month to ensure a family of 5 (or 10,000 gourdes for one year). This program will be launched in the region on January 16, 2016 in partnership with the hospital of the Evangelical Mission Ebenezer of Gonaives serving the population for almost 30 years.
