The Commissioner of the police component (UNPol) of the Minustah, Serge Therriault who completes his mission after 3 years in this position, said he was satisfied with his mission in Haiti and his participation in the development plan of the National Police Haiti (PNH) for 2012-2016 "This is a good time for me to make the transition while the Haitian institutions are in the process of renewing with the elections and that institutions such as the PNH re able to assert themselves more and more by demonstrating that they have the capacity to secure the country, "said Commissioner Teriault adding "as I leaving the country I think that the PNHwill be up to secure areas during the elections of 27 December."

Recall that Serge Thériault was appointed Commissioner in 2012 and responsible for the development of the PNH, then he became promoter of the 70 activities in the Haitian police development plan for 2012-2016 and prepared the way for the Strategic Plan 2017 -2021 of the PNH.
