Last Sunday "Empreintes Citoyennes", an Association of citizens wishing to leave positive marks in all areas of society, wishing to restore some dignity to the 230 inmates of the prison of Gonaïves, distributed hygiene kits to each prisoner (soap, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, underwear...)

David, one of the inmates serving a sentence of 3 years, estimated that by this gesture, "Empreintes Citoyennes" shows that the society has not rejected them otally "We are 43 in this cell, and we welcome this gesture that proves that we still have dignity."

For her part, Sonia, an inmate has stressed "You have acted towards a category that has lost the love of everyone, even of their family. These kits are the most important gifts received by this year end."
