Tuesday evening, Joan Raton Dithny the Minister of Culture, together with Aryel Henry, Minister of Social Affairs, Gabriel Yacinthe, the Minister for Women's, Stéphanie Villedrouin the Minister of Tourism has officially launched the first big "Christmas Village" on Place Pétion, on the Champ de mars, in the presence of Director Generals, Head of Cultural Affairs at the US Embassy in Haiti and the population came in large numbers.

In her speech, the Minister Raton declared "[...] in these days of the year, the Place Petion, where we are now gathered, became the home of this beautiful sharing party, love and reconciliation in the enchanting setting of this magnificent Christmas village designed for the pleasure and happiness of thousands of children in the country and for all people, a place of serenity and hope."
