Jimmy Albert, the Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action, participated in the presentation of trophies to the Club winners of the chess competition "Open Albert Jimmy".

Organized by "Carré Magique Club d'Échecs" (CAMACE), the Open Jimmy Albert is part of the competitionsaimed at the preparation of young chess players called to represent Haiti in 2016 at the Olympiad of Baku (capital of Azerbaijan, Caucasus).

This competition, which was held from December 18 to 20 at the College St. Gerard of Carrefour Feuilles, brought together 42 players from 7 Chess clubs : Carré Magique Club d'Echecs (CAMACE), Pion Passé, Fou Noir of Carrefour, Tour du Roi, Cavalier Noir of Carrefour, Roque du Roi and the Club of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy.

Winners clubs :

1 - Tour du Roi (Champion) ;

2 - Roque du Roi (Vice-Champion) ;

3 - CAMACE (3rd)

A plaque "Honor and Merit" was given to the Minister Albert for his unconditional support for the promotion of chess in Haiti.
