The police authorities of the Southern Department and those of Tiburon, in conjunction with the Regional Office South of the MINUSTAH, recently inaugurated a newly constructed police station in Tiburon to accommodate in good conditions the police officers of that commune, who worked until now in an old dilapidated building of Ancient Armed Forces of Haiti, which did not meet any safety standard.

This new building funded by the Minustah to the tune of over 4 million gourdes (4,027,997,28), was built in three months by the Grouping of Polyvalent Engineers of the Modern Construction (RIPCOM). The police station includes: 3 offices, a kitchen, 2 dormitories (one for men and one for women), a reception room, 5 toilets, 2 custody, a mesh-fence, and steel doors for retention cells.
