iciHaiti - Tourism : Soon a new online training platform

As part of the partnership agreement signed in 2013 by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTIC) with American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI), a training center based in the United States, to strengthen the training offer in the hotel and tourism sector; a group of ten trainers selected by Training Branch of the Ministry currently follows the hospitality management program online with the institute to prepare a technical diploma which will be validated by the MTIC.

Melissa Porsenna, a graduate of the Hotel School of Haiti (EHH) and former intern at the Training Branch, has just received her Intermediate Certificate in Hospitality Supervision with honorable mention, she is on the way successfully towards obtaining the final diploma.

Moreover, the MTIC announced it is developing a new online training platform that will be in operation in late January 2016. Several certificates and diplomas are offered to young people eager to learn new skills or improve tourism and hotel industry.

These programs will be open to all and accessible online anywhere in the country or abroad.
