Tuesday, January 12, 2016, Lener Renauld, the Minister of Foreign Affairs left the country to Guatemala to participate in the inauguration of newly elected President of Guatemala, Jimmy Morales, who won the second round of presidential elections with over 68% of votes.

It should be recalled that March 10, 2015, Haiti had obtained the presidency of the Executive Committee of the Council of Ministers of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) at the 20th meeting of the Council of Ministers, held in Antigua (Guatemala). The 21st meeting of the Council of Ministers will be held in Petion-ville (Haiti), on 18 and 19 January.

The Chancellor Renauld will return to Haiti next Friday.
