iciHaiti - FLASH : Savage attack against the Ministry of National Education
In a note, the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) condemns the attack with stones against the headquarters of the Ministry (Ave Jean Paul 2 #5), perpetrated, Friday, February 5, 2016 " by individuals identifying themselves as directors of private schools as part of the Universal Schooling Program Free and Compulsory (PSUGO)."

The Ministry states that "this free aggression almost cost the life of a Ministry employee who received stoning and had to be rushed to the hospital to receive first aid. In addition, the windows of several vehicles were smashed, not to mention the trauma among employees by such acts.

The Ministry finds it unacceptable that kind of physical assault by some individuals claiming to be of world of education.

The Ministry appealed for calm to all to avoid unfortunate excesses, while reaffirming its commitment to work with the authorities to find the necessary means to pay off the state's debts to teachers and principals of schools of PSUGO.
