iciHaiti - Politic : Evans Paul exhorts his administration to maintain public services

In a note of the Primature, Prime Minister Evans Paul urged the Ministers and State Secretaries of the Government to continue to ensure the provision of essential services to the population in the spirit of Circular No. 016 of 29 January 2016.

The Prime Minister also urged the Ministers and Secretaries of State, by letter dated March 2, 2016, to continue the management of state affairs and handle everyday business, in the fullness of their powers defined in Articles 156 and 165 of the 1987 Constitution amended, taking into account the limitations imposed by the circumstances.

This decision follows a letter of 1 March 2016 addressed to the Secretary General of the Primature by the Secretary General of the Presidency inviting to remind the Ministers "the obligation to handle everyday business until the installation of their successor, in accordance with Article 165 of the Constitution."
