This week, a delegation of six students from the Department of Legal Sciences of the University Quisqueya visited the Office of Citizen Protection.

Jude JN Pierre, Director of the Promotion of Human Rights, who welcomed the students, explained them the various activities carried out by the OPC in terms of Promotion and Protection of Human Rights, including the reception, processing and monitoring of administrative complaints, the regular visits to detention centers, including at the uvenile Rehabilitation Center in Conflict with the Law (Delmas 33).

During the visit, Mr. Pierre noted that as independent structure and despite a limited budget, OPC carries out many activities such as talks in schools and training sessions for all professional categories including police officers, judges, journalists etc...
