The report of the Secretary-General on the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH), published on March 8, reveals that between August 31, 2015 and March 1, 2016, the police component of Minustah (UNPol) assisted the Haitian National Police (PNH) in crime reduction operations and checkpoints by jointly performing 2,372 checkpoints, 3,254 foot patrols and 16,176 vehicl e patrols and conducting 47 joint operations, including 41 in Cité Soleil (West Department).

Military peacekeepers conducted 3,892 operations, 452 of which were joint patrols with the national police and the United Nations police. In additi on, the military component conducted 18 platoon - sized quick reaction force deployments to 14 different communities in seven departments, using Minustah aviation assets.
