In a note, Georges B. Sassine, President affirms that the Association of Industries of Haiti (ADIH) "is outraged by the defamatory statements of certain individuals without ethics or patriotism, that make the apology for border smuggling [...]
[...] These individuals with bad intentions, using the pretext of 'protecting' small merchants while they defend their personal interests. They use defamatory statements against entrepreneurs regularly paying their dues to the tax authorities. In addition to making threats through a malicious publicity, by circulating completely false information, they even attack the authorities with weapons in total disregard of life [...]"
