The President a.i. of the Republic Jocelerme Privert learned with emotion the tragedy that occurred in Belgium earlier this March 22 following the successive explosions recorded at Brussels Zaventem Airport, and Maelbeek Metro Station, in the European district of Brussels, causing some twenty deaths and injuries.

On the occasion of this sad event, the Head of State transmits, on behalf of the Haitian people, his heartfelt condolences to the people and the Belgian authorities as well as the entire EU community.

The President a.i. of the Republic take this opportunity to assure the Delegation of the European Union in Haiti of the great solidarity of Haiti in this time of hardship.
