iciHaiti - FLASH : A political activist of Haitian origin murdered in Venezuela

Saturday, March 26, Fritz St. Louis, 54, born in Haiti and of Venezuelan nationality, arrived in Venezuela in 1985 as a political refugee, was shot several times at his home by unidentified individuals have confirmed Sunday the Venezuelan authorities. Fritz St. Louis was killed 48 hours after the assassination of pro-government leader, Eugenio Cesar Barajas Vera, which was substitute member to the Legislative Council of the State of Tachira.

Fritz St. Louis was the International Coordinator of Socialist Movement United for ALBA and Secretary General of the House of Culture Haitian Bolivarian of Venezuela. He was also a Chavista candidate for deputy in the parliamentary elections of December 6.

The public prosecutor informs to have opened an inquiry and appointed a prosecutor to conduct investigations.
