According to Dr. Garnel Michel, Director General of the National Ambulance Center (CAN) during the period Pascale, the CAN intervened in 40 accidents that caused 67 wounded, many in serious or critical conditions with head trauma and a deceased Saturday in Léogâne.

For this long Easter weekend, the CAN had pre-positioned 27 ambulances in strategic areas in order to react as quickly as possible to the scene of accidents.

Besides poor condition of roads: speeding, driving while drunk or phone use while driving are the main causes of accidents.
