iciHaiti - Culture : Retrospective exhibition of works of the painter Burton Chenet

The retrospective exhibition of the painter Burton Chenet continues until April 21 to the House Dufort (first training site of Gingerbread restoration, inaugurated on March 21) https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-16904-icihaiti-heritage-inauguration-of-the-house-dufort.html

Guided tours of the exhibition are made all working days between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

On April 21, at 4 p.m. , a panel discussion moderated by artist Ronald Mevs, Lori Manuel aka Simil and Pascale Monnin will close the retrospective.

Recall that Burton Chenet, was murdered in his residence on March 21, 2012. Parents and relatives of the artist including his wife, Christine Chenet, a landscape architect who worked outside the House Dufort, his sister and brother expressed admiration for the work of Burton and poignant memories of the painter's life "gone too soon".

If you're in Bois-Verna or Turgeau, be sure to make a visit to #9 2nd Avenue du Travail, to let you impregnate of the charm of the building and the works of Burton Chenet.
