iciHaiti - Religion : The Vatican designates a new Bishop in Hinche

Monday, Désinord Jean was designated by the Vatican, the new Bishop of the Diocese of Hinche. He replaces Mgr Simon Pierre Saint Hillien, died after a long illness.
Born in Furcy in 1967, Désinord Jean was ordained priest in 1994. He was known for some time, for his program for the Catholic community in Haiti, broadcasted on Radio Télé soleil.
He will officially assume his diocese after his ordination as bishop whose ceremony is being planned.
