Sunday, President ai Jocelerme Privert accompanied by his wife, attended in Simon (Les Cayes), at the annual Convention of the Evangelical Baptist Mission of South of Haiti (MEBSH) which celebrated its 80th anniversary, attended by thousands of faithful Protestants from all over the country.

In the presence, among others, of Senator Fritz Carlos Lebon (INITE) and a delegation of deputies led by Caleb Desrameaux (Deputy of Tabarre, VERITE), the Head of State expressed his commitment to the cause of the MEBSH and expressed his thanks to the authorities of the Mission for their prayers for the presidential family, Government and the Haitian people as a whole.

In turn, the Pastors Osner Févry and Jean Chavannes Jeune evoked to the Head of State, the need to support the mission in its multiple projects including the rehabilitation of the road of Simon, locality of Bergeaud where the mission is located. Reverend Pastor Dieudonné Raymond, for his part, recalled that the celebration of 80 years of MEBSH coincides with the 200th anniversary of Protestantism in Haiti.

The Head of State who is not at its first participation in the annual convention of Simon, took advantage of his visit to Les Cayes to meet with Cardinal Chibly Langlois to the diocese of Les Cayes.
