Following the meeting Wednesday between the chancelleries of the two nations of the island, with a view to revitalizing relations between Haiti and the Dominican Republic, https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-17167-haiti-diplomacy-official-visit-of-the-haitian-chancellor-in-dr.html the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Haiti confirms that during the cordial exchanges between the two delegations was discussed: the resumption of the Haitian-Dominican dialogue; the evolution and implementation of the National Programme of Regularization of foreigners in irregular migratory situation in the Dominican Republic; the Trade Relations between the Republic of Haiti and the Dominican Republic; the state of completion of the Joint Commission Haitiano-Dominican and the situation of Haitian students in the Dominican Republic.

After the meeting, two Chancellors have agreed on the need for an immediate revival of the working sessions of the technical subcommissions of the Joint Commission to monitor the bilateral commitments and to produce recommendations likely to shed light on the decisions of both governments on areas of activities listed on the bilateral agenda.
