iciHaiti - Agriculture : Spring campaign 2016 in the South

Following the support requested from the Ministry of Agriculture, Élancie Moise, Director of the Departmental Direction of Agriculture South (DDAS) expects to be able to fund more than 10,000 farmers and allow to plant nearly 27,000 hectares for the Spring campaign 2016.
These agricultural areas are distributed as follows : 16,400 hectares of cereals (maize, sorghum and rice); 6,300 in leguminous (peas: strain, inconnu, congo and black); 860 in vegetables (eggplant, pepper, pepper, beet, spinach, carrot and tomato) and 3,000 ha in cuttings and banana plantations.
