iciHaiti - Politic : Message from the Minister a.i of Haitians Living Abroad

Wednesday as part of the commemoration of the National Day of the Diaspora, decreed by the Government of Haiti to promote the cause and interests of Haiti through the resources available in communities abroad Jessy C. Petit-Frère, Minister a.i. of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE) issued a short message to the diaspora, recalling that "[...] the initiative of the Haitian Government to establish a National Day of the Diaspora has a triple impact :

  • Strengthen exchanges between organizations of Haitian civil society and international counterparts while makingmore visible the multiple contributions of expatriates ;

  • Promote networking among Diaspora communities scattered worldwide ;

  • Facilitate continuous involvement of members of the Diaspora in the rebuilding process and development of Haiti.

I urge you dear compatriots in the Diaspora to work for the prosperity and development of Haiti.

Let's celebrate this day, Your Day, in unity, fraternity, joy and the pride of being a single Nation !

Kit ou deyò, kit ou anndan, nou tout se Ayisyen !"
