Monday, Me Camille Junior Edouard, the Minister of Justice and Public Security visited the base of the SWAT TEAM of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) affected by heavy rain this weekend. The Minister assessed the situation in order to take the necessary decisions to assist the police institution.

Decided to take the measures necessary to bring corrections to this scourge the Minister declared "All actors must work with the Ministry to find a definitive solution to the prolonged preventive detention."
Note that the Minister had started his day with a statement on a radio station of the capital where he had greeted the PNH's efforts in the fight against crime and the establishment of public peace affirming "We do not believe in bullying or in the persecution, we believe in the rule of law."
