Heavy intermittent rain that fell on 25 and 26 April on the Artibonite department have caused partial flooding Tuesday in the downtown of the commune of Petite rivière, more precisely at the Canal Meutz and the Cemetery Dupuy. Until now outside damage, no casualties were reported.

Should also be noted that the torrential rains in the Southeast department, caused the overflow of the river of Côtes-de-Fer which flooded part of the town of the same name. Several head of cattle were swept away and many gardens were devastated by the flood.

Interventions of the Directorate of Civil Protection are ongoing in affected areas in order to establish a definitive assessment, as well as the needs of the victims and organize the response phase.
