Tuesday, May 3, as part of the World Day of Press Freedom, President ai Jocelerme Privert addressed a message of consideration to the Haitian press community and the media in general "I applaud the work of all operators of the chain, from the media boss to the technicians often working under difficult conditions. Your important determination in favor of the accessibility of information has enabled Haitians to participate in the development of their country. The Haitian press is always on the forefront to relate the development efforts and denounce the actions of members of the community who are against democracy and human rights."

He also visited "Le Nouvelliste", on the occasion of an open day organized for the 118 years of the oldest daily newspaper of the country, wishing to the Executive and to all the staff of the newspaper his wishes for success and longevity.
