In the night from Friday to Saturday, May 7, 2016, following torrential rains that have battered Petit-Goâve during most of Saturday, the river "Provence" is entered in flood, causing flooding in two locality of the commune "Nan Ma" et "Cap-destré".

Provisional assessment: 18 homes flooded and numerous livestock and affected families need assistance in emergency.

A municipal delegate of the Ministry of Interior, who visited the scene, promised to keep the central government informed of the status of the situation of victims.
