iciHaïti - FLASH : A truck driver escapes death in River Borgne

The voluntary brigadiers of the Civil Protection reports that the driver of a truck loaded with goods tried to cross on Monday the flooded river of Borgne, in the locality of the same name (North Department). Caught in the rushing waters, the truck engine stalled, unable to restart, the driver abandoned his vehicle a few meters from the shore and could regain the mainland safe and sound.
The loading of the truck carrying cement, rice and various other provisions was washed away and the truck suffered extensive damage.
