For the third consecutive year with the local Haitian Community and the Surinamese, the Consulate General of the Republic of Haiti in Suriname celebrated the anniversary of the creation of our Bicolore.

This year the traditional cultural festival organized by the Consulate was marked by the introduction of a mini-fair during which members of the Haitian community in Suriname were invited to exhibit handicraft articles made by young and even delights prepared from family recipes. The Surinamese companies interested in providing services and recruiting in the Community were also invited to offer some opportunities for our countrymen.

The Haitian diaspora and Surinamese, came in large numbers appreciated our talent and our wonderful culture, stressed the Consul Alex Jospitre whose one of objective is to change the negative perception and wrong the Haitians have.
