On Monday, Prime Minister Enex Jean-Charles, at the head of a Haitian delegation of 11 people (5 of the Haitian State and 6 of the private sector) participated in the opening of the World Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul, Turkey on the theme "standing and act to reduce the overall humanitarian need".

More than 5,200 participants, including 65 Heads of State and Government, 177 UN members, the communities affected by crises, NGOs, the private sector and United Nations agencies contribute to the achievement of the Summit.

The Prime Minister in a brief statement, situated Haiti at the center of global humanitarian action. To this end, he referred to both natural hazards that have ravaged the country and the precarious living conditions of the population. He took the opportunity to question the "humanitarian" that experts tend to place today in contrast to the growth and sustainable development.
