iciHaiti - Security : Important meeting of Minister of Interior with the DPC and UTS

Tuesday, François Anick Joseph, Minister of Interior and Territorial Communities, met with key officials of the Directorate of Civil Protection (DPC) and the Technical Unit of Seismology (UTS).

This information session focused particularly on the functioning of the UTS in general and the difficulties that this structure is facing and the accompanying measures to consider to improve its situation in particular. The discussions also focused on the need to strengthen collaboration between UTS and the CPD.

The Minister Joseph recalled "Haiti is crossed by telluric faults, some consequent, represent a real threat. In addition, the vulnerability of the country, dictates us the work upstream of the risks and to be always ready," wishing to see these two structures fully functional.
