The exhibition "Made in Haiti - art of human resourcefulness" of photographer Roberto presented from June 3 to June 30, 2016 (Free admission) at the French Institute of Haiti 99 Avenue Lamartiniere, Port-au-Prince, invites us to a journey into the past before modernity. Through these old objects we discover the everyday commercial life of the great cities of the world in the past centuries, when in London, Paris and New York was found Haiti the same typologies of tools to help the small merchant in his work. Tools, toys and accessories of everyday of our grandfathers, now missing, presented in this exhibition as if they were not part of the current urban landscape.

Born in Rome in 1964 of a Haitian father and an Italian mother, Roberto Stephenson lived in Europe, Asia and America before settling in Port au Prince. After training in graphic design, he worked for 2 years as an assistant photographer and specialized in architectural photography. His photos have been published in several journals, but it is with his exhibition "Urban landscape" that he has really emerged in the world of photography.
