iciHaiti - Gonaïves : Racing Football Club, new national D1 champion

Sunday, in a jubilant atmosphere, after the finale of the opening series of the National Football Championship D1 2016, won by the Racing Football of Gonaïves [1-0] against the Football Inter Club Association; (FICA) of Cap-Haitien ; front of thousands of spectators, Abel Nazaire, the Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action, on behalf of the Government handed over the trophy to the 2016 champion.
For the Minister, the performance of Racing Football Club reminds that of Gonaïviens major players of the 70s and 80s he had known in his youth as a native of the city of Independence, convinced that with adequate supervision, the country can still produce players of great talent.
