iciHaiti - Conference : 46th ACURIL Annual International Conference 01/06/2016 10:31:20
Workshops, plenary sessions, round tables, among other activities, are planned as part of this conference week that will bring together, according to Elizabeth Pierre-Louis Augustin, the current President of the ACURIL: library leaders, archives and museums of the Caribbean. The theme this year is "Leadership: a bridge between tradition and innovation in libraries, archives and museums in the Caribbean," the leadership is seen as a tool and a philosophy to create bridges between changing times and expectations. The 46th conference will be an occasion to sensitize the Haitian community and especially the state authorities about the important role of libraries in the flow of knowledge and information. This is the second time that this conference takes place in Haiti. The first edition in Haiti took place in 2012. The 46th ACURIL conference is supported among others by the National Archives of Haiti; Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation; FOKAL; The Embassy of the United States in Haiti and the National Library of Haiti...
