Thursday, in response to a question about the future of the electoral process in Haiti, the French spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development issued the following response "France takes note of the report of the Independent Commission for Electoral Evaluation and Verification (CIEVE) https://www.haitilibre.com/article-17594-haiti-flash-le-rapport-de-la-commission-tous-les-details.html

It is now important that the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) announces an electoral timetable quickly [scheduled for June 6 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-17596-haiti-flash-publication-of-the-electoral-timetable-postponed.html ] that allows Haitians to complete the electoral cycle launched in 2015 and to elect their president.

France calls on all stakeholders to facilitate the rapid organization of credible, transparent and democratic elections,
