The actress and TV host, Francesca Mérentié Cinéas, Canadian of Haitian origin, is one of 100 women nominated in Canada for the « Excellence Award of black women » of the Black Women Canadian Awards. Award that ichaëlle Jean had gotten in the past.

Note that the jury of the Black Women Canadian Awards will award this Award to one of Canada's 100 black women, who have marked their generation and society by the quality of their work and talents.

The name of the winner should be known next July 24 and the Award presented at a gala evening.
