The General Command of the Dominican army decided to intensify vigilance on its northern land border, by sending as reinforcements, 130 soldiers who joined the patrol in the fight against smuggling, the various forms of trafficking and cattle theft.

The soldiers were greeted at the headquarters of Tenth Battalion of the Military Institute of Dajabon, by the Commander Ramon Emilio Jiménez Peña of the fourth army brigade based in Mao.

The commander urged soldiers to fight with courage and responsibility the smuggling, cattle theft on the rise, human trafficking, of drugs and other goods among others...

Commander Ramón Emilio Jiménez Peña recommended his men to act in compliance with laws and regulations governing the armed forces.
