Friday, on the occasion of the patronal feast of Miragoâne Jocelerme Privert, accompanied by his wife, attended the Eucharistic celebration of the parish Cocathedral Saint Jean-Baptiste of Miragoâne (Nippes) in the presence of Cholzer Chancy, President of the Chamber of Deputies and several parliamentarians and senior officials of the State.

In his homily for the occasion, the main celebrant, Mgr Max Leroy Mésidor, called the pilgrims of Nippes department to celebrate in joy and in recollection and urged politicians to give priority to the national interest at the expense personal interests.

After the Eucharistic celebration, Jocelerme Privert took the opportunity to told reporters "I always be in Miragoâne as I have always participated in the patronal feasts of different cities of the department. I used to be present as Senator, I'm here today as President of the Republic and tomorrow as a private citizen."
