Ginette Michaud Privert, the wife of former provisional President, accompanied by Simon Dieuseul Desras, the Minister of Environment and Eddy Jackson Alexis, a member of the particular Cabinet of Jocelerme Privert are arrived in Panama to attend this Sunday 26 June at the opening ceremony of the extension of the inter-oceanic canal, they were greeted in Panama Pacific Airport, on the west coast of the Channel, by Francisco Torres, Deputy Director of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Panama.

62 official delegations have confirmed their presence at the inauguration of the Pharaonic works to widen the canal and 3 new locks, begun in 2007 to the initial cost of more than $ 5 billion. Through these works the panama canal will now allow the transit of three times more goods.

The official activities at the program of this Sunday include a musical show to the new locks in Agua Clara (Caribbean) and Cocoli (Pacific) and more activities and performances by artists in other parts of the country and in Panama City.
