"The Ministry of Defence is advising residents in particular and the public in general, that as part of the emergency plan developed on the occasion of the hurricane season, the Military Engineering Corps proceeds, from this Wednesday, July 6, 2016, to the clearing of the evacuation channels in the capital.

These interventions will extend over 2 months (July-August 2016), successively cover the zones of : Ravine Bois de Chêne, Delmas 2 and Cité Soleil.

The Ministry of Defence is asking residents of the target zones to contribute through their encouragement and support to the full success of the sanitation campaign."
