Thursday at Primature, all the mayors of the metropolitan area have been received by Anick François Joseph, Minister of Interior and Territorial Communities, for a meeting around the problem of insalubrity in the capital.

This meeting must allow the government to find the best strategy to rid the streets of Port-au-Prince of garbage, clean up the communal life on new solid and lasting bases...

These exchanges with the new mayors shows without doubt the attention of the Head of Government to municipalities but let's hope that on the field, the action takes precedence over demagogy. Port-au-Prince is sinking a little more every day in the waste and it is urgent to act.
