The lawyer and Dominican political leader of the radical opposition party "Fuerza Nacional Progresista" (FNE), Me Peregrín Castillo, declared Monday that the electoral situation in Haiti will have a migration impact on the Dominican Republic since the withdrawal of the United States and Europe financial support for the preparations for the resumption of Haitian elections.

Castillo declared that Haiti is economically "collapsed" and reiterated the importance of strict regulation of the movement of people at the border between the two countries, because he believes that at present it is not enough.
