iciHaïti - Sport : Binational promotion for rugby practice in Haiti

A pact was signed in the framework of the "Festival Deportivo de la Frontera 2016", between Nicolas Volcy, president of the Haitian Federation of Rugby, Jaime David Fernandez Mirabal, Minister of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation of the Dominican Republic, José Gómez, Ambassador of France in the Dominican Republic and Piault Franck, president of the Rugby Committee of Martinique, designed to collectively implement a cooperation program which will help strengthen this sport, promote the rugby practice and exchanges in Haiti.
The Memorandum of Understanding on Sports Cooperation highlights the role that sport can play in favor of peace and approximation of peoples. The signatories of the pact are convinced that rugby, with its values, will be a powerful means of achieving the desired objectives.
