Monday in Damien, the agronomist Arnoux Séverin, Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development, has proceeded to the installation of the new Director of the National Seed Service (SNS), the Agronomist Jude Pierre Marie Basquiat. He takes over from the agronomist Emmanuel Prophète.

The Agronomist Jude Pierre Marie Basquiat, born in Port-au-Prince, graduated in 1985 from the Faculty of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine (GMEF). Specialist in Potato. He worked for 19 years in Savanne Zombi and also put his skills at the service of Double Harvest, of ACDI/VOCA, etc... He was the coordinator of the Food Production Project and Vocational Training of Displaced victims in Savane Diane (Saint-Michel de l'Attalaye).
