Following a consensus the Dean of the Court of First Instance (TPI) of Petit-Goâve and all substitutes Government Commissioner appealed to the justice of the peace justice of the peace, Me Jean Jude Léandre to draw up the minutes of the conclusion of reopening of the doors of the prosecution which was violently closed Friday, by lawyers protesting to demand the installation of Me Alcide Laguerre as Government Commissioner https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-18246-haiti-justice-paralysis-of-criminal-assizes-in-petit-goave.html

The doors of the prosecution and the TPI of Petit-Goâve are reopened and the two courts operate currently. However, lawyers of the Bar continue their stoppage pending the swearing in of the new Government Commissioner...

"The activities are paralyzed at the jurisdiction of Petit-Goâve," lamented rthe Dean.

Moreover, the Democratic Union for National Development (UDDN) organized a sit-in at the Petit-Goâve Procuratorate to demand without delay the installation of Me Alcide Laguerre. Protesters are threatening to block the main road during this week if their demand is not met.
