Unlike the previous quarter, the price pattern of the food basket on local markets in regions, changed somewhat.

Thus, the price of the food basket increases on the markets of the Croix des Bossales (2.5%), of Port-de-Paix (+2.5%) and especially of Cap Haitien (+6.5%). IHowever, it is down on 6 markets, significantly, those of Fond des Nègres and of Les Cayes (respectively -6.6 and -6.03%), of Jérémie (-3.7% ), of Jacmel (-3.6%) and of Ouanaminthe (-2.05%).

However, 7 of 10 markets show significant inflationary pressures, compared to last year. The price increase is more pronounced in the markets of Ouanaminthe (+ 8.6%), Jacmel (+ 5.6%), Gonaives (+ 5%) and Cap Haïtien (nearly 3%).

Note that on the markets of Les Cayes and especially Jérémie, recorded very significant declines in the price of the food basket, or -3.3 and more than -11% on average, respectively.
